Dwalin DeBoer Named Vice President of Sales & Engineering; Vice President of Business Development Jon Whitney Takes on Marketing Responsibilities
ARLINGTON, Vt. (Sept. 26, 2024) – Mack Molding, a leading custom plastics molder and supplier of contract manufacturing services, is pleased to announce several key promotions within its Northern Division executive team.
Dwalin DeBoer has been promoted to Vice President of Sales & Engineering, succeeding Joan Magrath on her retirement. With 29 years of plastics experience, including 24 at Mack, DeBoer brings a wealth of knowledge along with a strong track record of driving customer satisfaction and business continuity. Since 2011, she has served as Business Unit Director, managing key aspects of customer relationships and program management. She has a rich, cross-departmental history with the Company, having also served as a Manufacturing Engineer, Molding Manager and Program Manager. DeBoer has a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass.
In addition, Jon Whitney, Vice President of Business Development, is assuming expanded sales and marketing responsibilities. Whitney will continue leading the acquisition of new accounts while growing existing accounts for Mack’s Northern division and driving marketing initiatives. With over 10 years at Mack, Whitney has been key to product introductions and diversifying the company’s customer base. His engineering expertise in contract manufacturing, plastics and medical devices, along with his MBA from Babson College and master’s in engineering management from Tufts University, will guide Mack’s strategic efforts. Prior to Mack, he served as senior project manager for cardiovascular devices at Abiomed.
Both DeBoer and Whitney will report to Mack North President Josh Pang.
“We are proud to recognize the achievements of Dwalin and Jon, whose leadership has been pivotal to Mack’s continued success,” said Pang. “With their expertise, we are well-prepared to drive future growth and enhance our service to customers. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Joan Magrath for her nearly four decades of remarkable service. The strong customer relationships she fostered will leave a lasting impact on the company, and we wish her the very best in her well-deserved retirement.”
Further strengthening Mack’s Sales & Engineering team, Natasha Moses has been promoted to Business Unit Director for medical accounts, reporting to DeBoer. Moses, who joined Mack in 2015 as a Program Manager and most recently served as Senior Program Manager, has developed strong customer relationships and a deep understanding of Mack’s processes. Her prior experience in product development and quality engineering at Memry Corporation and Nitinol Devices and Components complements her new role. Moses holds bachelor’s degrees in biomedical engineering and materials science engineering from the University of California, Irvine.
Rounding out the executive promotions, Larry Hovish has been named Director of Marketing & Communications. Having served as Mack’s Director of Communications since 2015, Hovish will expand customer touch points and improve communications throughout the organization. Reporting to Whitney, Hovish will draw on his 24 years of experience to strengthen engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Before Mack, he honed his communications skills at AngioDynamics, a medical device company, as well as Alstom’s transport division and the newspaper industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, with dual majors in mass communications and political science, from the State University of New York.
