Aimee Frank, who will be a freshman at Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y., this fall, has been spending her summer as a Mack intern. In fact, Aimee has been working in the Company’s Finance Department for the past year. She plans to major in mechanical engineering.
During her senior year at Arlington Memorial High School, in Arlington, Vt. – home to Mack’s headquarters – she was given the opportunity to intern when not taking classes. That part-time, school-year internship turned into a full-time summer internship in the same department.
“Aimee works hard and has built great working relationships within our department,” said Mack’s Chief Financial Officer Florence Belnap. “She’s a quick learner and enthusiastically works on new projects. She has been a key helper during our year’s fiscal end, and we will miss her when she leaves for school in the fall. We all wish her the best of luck.”
While she dreams of working for NASA after graduating, Mack has been a great experience for her.
“I’ve been having a great time here this summer,” said Aimee. “Mack Molding is very involved with the Arlington community, and it is great to work for a company that cares so much about the success of its employees and interns.”
As a Finance intern, Aimee has been helping with check runs, keying invoices and completing bank reconciliations, as well as price checks. When she is not working hard at Mack, Aimee spends her time enjoying the outdoors.
“It’s so nice to be able to spend my summer here in Vermont,” she noted. “With all the nice weather, I’ve been able to work out, play soccer and swim with my friends. This has been a great way to spend my last summer before college.”
